The Day’s Activities

Inspired by our signature bike tour that started it all, the Oslo Highlights City Walk is a relaxed yet engaging private tour that takes you through the city’s most iconic sights – at your own pace and with your own guide. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or looking to dive deeper into the capital’s culture and stories, this walking experience offers the perfect mix of movement, history, and local perspective.
The tour begins at the SALT Arts and Culture Center, right along the fjord in the heart of Oslo’s historic maritime district. From there, we set out into the city’s charming old town, where cobblestone streets and colorful buildings offer a glimpse into the capital’s rich past.
Our path leads up to the impressive Akershus Fortress, a medieval castle steeped in history. Just outside its walls, you’ll enjoy sweeping views of the Oslofjord and the modern Aker Brygge waterfront, a once-industrial zone now transformed into a buzzing hub of city life.
From the fortress, we descend to the striking Oslo City Hall, famous for its vivid murals and as the home of the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony. Then it’s time for a scenic ride on one of Oslo’s world-class, modern trams to the remarkable Vigeland Sculpture Park, where over 200 expressive sculptures invite reflection, curiosity, and plenty of photo opportunities.
We continue our journey through the elegant Frogner neighborhood, historically known as Oslo’s affluent and influential district shaped by the great maritime industry of the 1800s. Here, beautiful parks and refined neo-classical architecture tell stories of a prosperous past. As we stroll past the stately Royal Palace and its manicured gardens, you’ll sense the grandeur of Oslo’s royal heritage before we return to the city center. You’ll finish perfectly positioned to continue exploring, relax at a cozy café, or enjoy personalized recommendations from your guide.
This tour is perfect for anyone interested in history, culture, and exploring Oslo’s vibrant city life with a touch of local knowledge – all at a flexible pace. Whether you enjoy a leisurely stroll or a more energetic walk, we tailor the experience to your rhythm and interests – making your visit truly memorable.
Join us for a private walk through the heart of Oslo – a journey filled with stories, stunning views, and unforgettable moments.
